Paragon Singers

Paragon Singers is a mixed choir which focuses on major choral/orchestral works along with shorter choral gems both old and new. Lars Kaario is director.

Paragon means “a person or thing regarded as a perfect example of a particular quality”. Founded and directed by Lars Kaario, Paragon Singers is a mixed, intermediate level choir that makes wonderful music – a perfect example of community, love and beauty. We focus on major choral/orchestral works along with shorter choral gems both old and new. Our inaugural season in 2021-2022 ended with back to back nearly sold out performances of Mozart’s Requiem and Orff’s Carmina Burana.

The 2022-2023 season is full of exciting music with Bach’s Christmas Oratorio in December and works by Mozart, Haydn, Schubert and Zelenka for choir and organ in May, followed by a European tour to Austria and Czechia. We still have openings for the January-May term. Singers are expected to have previous choral experience and a short, informal audition is required; all voice types are welcome.
