Laudate Singers Society is pleased to launch a new choir!
Paragon Singers is a mixed choir which focuses on major choral/orchestral works along with shorter choral gems both old and new. Lars Kaario is director.
Paragon means “a person or thing regarded as a perfect example of a particular quality”. Paragon Singers will make wonderful music, even during extraordinary times – a perfect example of community, love and beauty.
This fall, Paragon Singers will give an informal concert exclusively for invited friends of the singers. The choir is enjoying composers as varied as Thomas Tallis, Miguel Matamoros, Morten Lauridsen and William Dawson.
We still have openings for the January-May term. Plans are to perform Mozart’s Requiem and Carmina Burana at the BlueShore Theatre on May 13 and 14, subject to provincial health orders. Singers are expected to have previous choral experience and a short, informal audition is required; all voice types are welcome. Contact firstname.lastname@example.org or 604-729-6814 for more information.
Look for “Paragon Singers” on Facebook and Instagram. Join Laudate Singers Society’s email list to keep apprised of events by both Laudate Singers and Paragon Singers.
